Like her brother before her, Team Tappmeyer had a going-away lunch for Josie before her departure for Mizzou. Around the time he left, she started volunteering on Saturday mornings, helping them run the community garden in Millennium Park. They have enjoyed having both of our kids on their crew, and we are grateful for the experience.
Not only was today the beginning of my two-week Christmas break, but I was also able to announce (finally!) the names of the first Mizzou students to be awarded the Pipes Family Foundation Scholarship. I hope this is the start of a long tradition, although I have to admit the selection process this year was longer and more painful than...
Team Tappmeyer organized a going-away party for Noah, right before he heads off to Mizzou. It was so nice of them to do that – they are going to miss him, but not as much as we are.
