Land of Lincoln

Earlier this summer, I told the kids I wanted to take a history field trip to Springfield, IL, to see the Lincoln museum. They were open to the idea, so I scheduled it and bought tickets. Josie ended up catching some bug that was going around, so she stayed home. Noah and I enjoyed seeing some of the sights, including...

Virginia 2018

We spent two weeks, and drove over 750 miles across Virginia, for a home-school history field-trip. Photos are now up in my album. I sure had fun.  I hope we made some memories that will last in the kids’ minds.

This Is Why We Homeschool

Sometimes you just have to go out and play in the rain. I am very grateful that the kids have had so many opportunities to do this. To learn that going out in the rain and getting wet is okay, and it’s not something to be avoided at all costs. It is if you’re a teacher, and for good reason...
