The Great Divorce

In 1876, the city of St. Louis and St. Louis County parted ways. This month marks the 150th anniversary of that fateful decision, and to commemorate it, the Missouri History Museum hosted a panel discussion to talk about the effects as well as the possibility of reversing it. Dixie and I attended, along with a few hundred others. It was a good talk, but it didn’t leave me optimistic about the prospects.
