That Viking Life

Minecraft is still a big part of screen time around here, but in the last month we’ve also become addicted to Valheim – a new game that is still in early release on Steam, but has over 6 million players. Something about the description and the screenshots appealed to me, and for only $20, I figured it was worth a shot. It is really an impressive game – part Minecraft and part Fortnite, with a healthy dose of Norse mythology. Today I finished my first ocean voyage around my continent, and I got an idea of just how big the map is – it took 4 days! I got the kids copies too, and we’ve been playing together in a world that Noah hosts on his gaming rig. It has been a lot of fun ganging up on trolls and building stuff.
