Bye Bye 2016

Parts of 2016 were a blur. The highlights for me were our trip to California to drive the PCH and finally publishing my book. This was a surprisingly hard year on celebrities – Prince and Carrie Fisher, to name a couple – people I grew up with, and who left us too soon (57 and 60, respectively). The election was not as significant for me as it was for some because, as they say, I didn’t have a dog in the fight. I don’t anticipate Donald Trump will be a great president. I doubt he will even be a good president. But we’ve probably had worse.

I did manage one of my new year resolutions and wrote in this blog pretty much every Sunday this year (I missed a few weeks). This year I’m going to try to spend even more time writing (and reading, with my new Kindle), so we’ll see how that works out.
