What I Ordered Versus What I Got

When something online seems to good to be true, go with your instincts. That’s what I learned as part of a recent purchase from a fly-by-night outfit called SantaLike. I did Google them before I placed my order and I did see some complaints on Reddit about the quality of the item, but I figured so much of that is subjective. And, if I’m being honest, I’m not completely disappointed with the product, I just thought the difference between the photo in their catalog and what I ultimately received (after an almost three-week wait from China) was remarkable.
For more than ten years, I have been doing this thing at work that I call The Twelve Hats of Christmas, and ever since I bought my ugly Christmas sweater that says in bold green letters “I CHRISTMAS HARDER THAN YOU,” I figured I had better start living up to that credo. And I certainly have enough hats now, so when I saw this advertised I thought this would be the perfect addition to my collection of Christmas regalia. It is certainly ostentatious enough, it just doesn’t scream designer clothing. But that’s probably alright.
