Austen’s Pride

With Noah away at school, the three of us attended our first performance at Stages St. Louis at the Kirkwood Performing Arts Center. This was a pre-Broadway musical that imagines Jane Austen’s creative process while writing Pride and Prejudice. It was a really good show, and well-performed, although Josie and I agreed that none of the songs is particularly memorable. It would be nice to see it make it to Broadway and become a big hit, knowing that we saw it on its first “buzz” tour. We saw the afternoon matinee and then had a really good dinner at Billy G’s followed by a quick stop at the Minifig Shop. There are a couple more photos in my album.
