New Workshop

Well, it’s not exactly new. It’s been my workshop since we moved into this house in 2006, but for the last three years (since we sold the house in Illinois), it’s been so full of junk that I couldn’t even walk in there. So I’ve spent the last couple of months cleaning it up, selling stuff on Craigslist, dumping stuff at Goodwill, and just generally organizing the room. Now it has become dual-purpose: it is still a workshop that I can use for some woodworking projects, but it’s also suitable for storage and construction of my considerable Lego collection. As part of this project, I opened a store on Bricklink and I’ve managed to sell over $1,000 of vintage Lego sets. This has not only provided funding, but has opened up room in the storage room for me to indulge my habit. Here is one of my most recent purchases, sitting atop my newly cleaned and usable workbench.
