Bye 2021!

The year certainly had some highlights, but for the most part it was a repeat of 2020. This was supposed to be the year that we restored normality, but the Delta and Omicron variants had other plans. Not to mention all of the idiots who refuse to get vaccinated because of some misguided neo-Luddite protest. I can honestly say that I hope the coronavirus has one more variant in store – one that the vaccines are 100% effective against, but one with a 100% mortality rate.

But enough about viruses, as I said, there were some highlights this year, including a few trips. Noah went to Philmont in July, Dixie took the kids to Florida to visit her grandparents in August, and we managed to squeeze in two weeks in New England between the Delta and Omicron lockdowns. We also upgraded the furniture in our living room, which has made movie nights a lot more comfortable for everyone. I played a lot of Valheim (278 hours, to be exact – yikes!), and some Anno 1404. Dixie and I went to see Andrea Bocelli, and the kids and I set up the haunted garage for Halloween. Overall, it was a good year. Here’s hoping that 2022 is even better.
