Minecraft Beckons

We bought Minecraft for Noah in 2013, not knowing what an impact it would have on our lives. That first Christmas, I remember we spent an entire day playing it, and that eventually became an annual tradition that all four of us engaged in. Yesterday, we continued the tradition – although not for the entire day – with Josie, Noah and I spending a couple of hours in our own little world. I managed to finish a project that I’ve been working on since June of 2018 (I’m also nearing completion on my copy of Notre Dame), and put the final blocks of sandstone into a scale replica of the Great Pyramid of Khufu. With about 20,000 blocks, it stands 135 meters tall. Now I have to work on adding an interior space of some kind. It’s been a fun seven years, and we’ve really enjoyed building in our world together as a family. I hope this tradition continues for years to come.
