Hiking Trip to Pea Ridge

Pea Ridge National Park is a Civil War battlefield in northern Arkansas, not too far from Branson. We wound up taking Noah’s troop there for a weekend campout because our original plans fell through. I had agreed to organize the Feb campout, which is always scheduled over President’s Day weekend and usually includes a visit to some patriotic landmark like a military base. But despite my best attempts to schedule an armory near Shiloh, TN where we could stay on the cheap, nothing was available. So our plans there were scrapped and at the last minute I scrambled to book an armory near Springfield, MO and we set up a hike at Pea Ridge (similar to a trip that the troop made the year before Noah crossed over).

It all turned out fine in the end, and we had a really good hike. Noah and I had a good time, and I really like this picture of us.
