New Wheels

We are truly blessed. Sometimes it is easy forget that. So today I wanted to take some photos of Dixie and I with our new cars, so we don’t forget how lucky we are – and also so we could look back on these decades from now and remember that there was a time when we were still cool.

The past couple of months have been tough, trying to get my mom moved into a facility, and figuring out how to get her approved for Medicaid. I’m sure it will all work out fine, but it has been weighing heavily on my mind lately, and it hasn’t helped that I just started a new job at Boeing and I feel like I need to spend all of my energy there right now.

But we have a lot to be thankful for – Dixie’s grandparents bought her a new truck and my bonus this year (plus what I got for my selling my A4) was enough to allow me to upgrade to an A8 so that Noah can actually ride in my car again. Despite the challenges, life is good right now.
