Too Much Excitement

We like our quiet neighborhood. We like our quiet street. We like that nothing ever happens here. Which is why it was such a shock this past Thursday when a gas leak at the empty house two doors down from us caused not only an evacuation of everyone who lives on our street, but the closure of I-270 for a couple of hours. They shut off the gas and the electricity for most of the day, and Dixie and the kids had to spend the day just driving around. Finally, about 3pm, we were given the all clear and able to return to our homes. (Aerial footage provided by Fox2 News.)
